I kicked Thursday off in Room 4 with the Behind the Music: Crime, Death & Resurrection panel, which started at 10:30. I didn't know that Shane West (yes THAT Shane West) was moderating so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him.
Totally geeked out over Daniel Licht and Steve Jablonsky |
After the panel, I met up with Tiffany. We wanted to check out the Game of Thrones event at the Omni, but the line for that was gnarly as heck so we decided to just walk around Nerd HQ and see what they had inside. It wasn't a very long walk since they were set up at Petco Park again this year.
We heard that Nerdist was hosting a Laser Tag event upstairs so we went up to the upper deck. I didn't get to see exactly where they were playing laser tag, but they set-up shop up there quite nicely. Tiffany heard someone saying there was a free candy bar that was promoting a new show called "Scorpion." We got free trading cards and a poster along with our candy.
Tiffany and I also went to the Female Superheroes, Then and Now panel (sorry didn't get pictures). After that, we parted ways and I was solo for the rest of the day. By that time, I was in need of some food so I walked over to Lolita's for some rolled tacos and took a couple of pictures on the way.
By the time I finished my lunch it was about 2:30 and I needed to kill some time before I walked over to the Hyatt to line up for the Her Universe Fashion Show. I finally walked through the exhibit hall for the first time that day. Here are some pictures from the Walking Dead booth.
I left the hall after that because I was running out of time and desperately needed to charge my phone. Luckily, I found a cozy spot upstairs and was able to rest for a while.
Stay tuned for Part 2!
