NOTD | The Amy Pond Series - The Eleventh Hour

Hey cutie pies! I'm not sure if any of you all are aware, but I'm a Doctor Who fan. Amy Pond was one of my favorite companions, only second to Donna (I love my gingers). Besides always putting together the cutest outfits for the show, Karen Gillan always had her nails painted a different color for each episode, sometimes corresponding with the storyline. I started noticing this probably after her 3rd or 4th one then took note of what color she'd wear for each episode thereafter.

When I started blogging about my nails, I had planned on doing a series of NOTD's inspired by all the colors she wore during her run as Amy Pond. I don't know why it took me so long honestly. Anyway, today's NOTD was inspired by Amy Pond's very first episode, "The Eleventh Hour." During this episode, grown up Amy had on a gorgeous red hue.

My nail color is butter London's Pillar Box Red. It is my absolute favorite red nail polish not only because it's a true red, but also because the formula is fantastic! I usually don't care to recommend the more expensive brands, especially when I know there are much cheaper alternatives, but I think Pillar Box Red is worth $14. Just sayin...

Anyway, I should note that Amy sometimes repeated colors so when that does happen, I'm going to paint my nails a color that I think somehow relates to that particular episode instead. I'm very excited to do this since it will allow me to use all my nail polishes.
