So with all the excitement leading up to most recent episode of The Walking Dead (Daryl I love you bb), I completely forgot that Sunday, March 24th was Eyeheartmakeup's 2nd birthday. Anyway, I just wanted to take this time to say a massive thank you to everyone who's ever visited my little corner of the interwebs. It's been an absolute pleasure and I hope to continue on with this blog for a very very long time!
I know I don't have a lot of content compared to other blogs that have been around as long as I have. Honestly, part of it is because I am busy with my life outside of the world wide web. I have a full time job and as much as I'd like to be blogging all day, I make sure to make time for the special people in my life as well as allow myself to disconnect from the madness that is the internet. Another part of it is that I am very picky when it comes to content. While I do have posts that are repetitive and can be found on other blogs, I always try to make sure that there is a little something that will hopefully set it apart from the others. If I can't do that, then I just leave it alone completely. I'd rather post well thought out content than bombard you with garbage.
You will also probably notice that I don't do a lot of reviews. I do have a few, though I hate to even call them "reviews." I always think that word implies that you are some sort of expert and I can honestly say I am not a beauty or skincare expert. Another reason for this is because I simply don't have the luxury of trying new products every other day. One, I don't have that kind of money. I got bills to pay y'all. Two, I wasn't blessed with good genes. My skin isn't that sensitive, but since it's taken me way too long to get it to where it is now, I tend to not to steer too far from my usual routine and products for fear of a really bad reaction which would take me back to square one (and I have no plans of ever going back).
This blog has become so much more than just an outlet for me to show my love for cosmetics. I can truly say that it's been part of my growth as a young woman. My goal with this blog has always been to empower my readers to feel good about everything that they are and to remind you just how fierce you really are. Because really, you are. Don't forget that.
Again, thank you for visiting and I hope to see you around! With love and gratitude...
Congrats on your blog's 2 year anniversary! :D
