Crazy About Lipstick Tag

Back in October, my friend and fellow beauty blogger Laura filmed a video called "Crazy About Lipstick Tag."  I thought it'd be really fun to go through my collection and see what my answers would be to the series of questions included in the tag. I initially filmed a video, but I thought I looked not so great in it so I decided on a normal blog post instead. Enjoy!

1. How many lipsticks do you have in your collection?
Currently I have 45, but I just won 4 more in a giveaway so I guess that puts me just under 50. Eeeks...

2. How old were you when you started using lipstick?
I was probably around 23 when I started to buy my own lipsticks. I think my first one was a Stila lipstick that was on sale. I know, I'm quite the late bloomer.

3. What's a lipstick you can't live without? 
It's a toss up between Topshop Lip Crayon in Royal and MAC Heroine. Everyone needs a classic red lippie and I haven't found one that I love more than Royal. My favorite lipsticks are purples because I think they look quite good with my skin. MAC Heroine is probably the best I've seen so far. It has the perfect amount of blue and pink.

4. Show a lipstick you use to stand out.

5. What was the last lipstick you bought?
MAC Heroine!

6. What lipstick do you regret buying?
I've got three. Wet n Wild in Vamp It Up and two Barry M Lip Paints in Black and Robot Blue. I put on the WnW once and I felt like I was back in 1995 when super dark lips were a thing. I'm still hanging onto it though in case I need it for Halloween or something. I've never used any of the Barry M Lip Paints. I don't really regret buying the black one, but the blue is absolute crap.

That blue is having none of it today.

7. What is your favorite lipstick at the moment?
Easy. Revlon Shameless.

8. Your most expensive and inexpensive lipsticks:

Most Expensive: MAC

Most Inexpensive: Wet n Wild

9. Show a lipstick you love.
Already have love, see #3.

10. Do you like, love or are addicted to lipsticks?
I think at this point I'm a full-blown addict. The other day I told my mom that I "needed" an Illamasqua lipstick simply because I haven't got any in my collection. No sane person with an already extensive collection would ever say something like that.

11. What lipstick reminds you of someone special?
I would have to say MAC Captive because I got it for Christmas from my bezzie love Steffi. Everytime I wear it, I'm always reminded of how much I miss her :)

So in doing this little activity, I do realize that although I own a lot of lipstick, I've managed to only feature about 15 of them. I can just see all of you facepalming yourselves. It's alright, I won't take offense to it. I am aware of how ridiculous I can be.
