GUESS | Tiesto NYT LYF Collection – Studded Zip Dress

Last Friday I tweeted that I had been a bad girl and purchased something from GUESS. Whenever they have a sale, I always jump on it because we all know how crazy expensive their stuff can be. So when I received the email saying everything on clearance was an additional 40% off, I made sure to stop by my local GUESS store to see if I could find something.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I just looked through what they had and picked up a couple of dresses to try on, just for fun. The first one I picked up was the Aztec Caviar-Beaded Dress. I loved the way it looked, but not enough that I would buy it. Plus, I already have 3 other dresses that are similar to this that still have tags on them. The second dress I picked up was the Studded Zip Dress from the Tiesto NYT LYF Collection. To be honest, this is one of those dresses that looks really strange on the hanger, but I was really curious as to how it would look so I tried it on without any intentions of purchasing it. I obviously didn't follow through on that...

Like I said, it looks weird on the hanger, but it actually looks awesome when you try it on. Trust me, haha.

The material is like stretch denim and though the material itself is nice and light, because the dress has the studded shoulder with shoulder pads, it's a bit heavy. I LOVE the moto-style zipper and it was probably what sealed the deal for me. It's also a nice length. It's short enough but not too short that I would be worried all night about all that assmy stuff hanging out. For reference, I'm about 5'2" and the dress comes down to just half-way down my thighs. Because the material is thick enough, you really needn't wear a bra with it, though if you want that extra umph, then a push-up bra would be the way to go.

I am so in love with this dress! I love the way it fits on me. It's just perfect. I'm sure this will be sitting in my closet for awhile because I really don't have anywhere to wear it to, but I have no regrets about buying it. I think every girl needs a LBD (or several) that they feel sexy in and this is definitely one of them. It is form-fitting and hugs you in all the right places ;)
